We are " Atlanta's Party Station " bringing you another hot talented duo ! We wanted to get the inside exclusive on these talented guys! Check below at what we found out!!!

Tell me in a few words, who you are. How would you describe yourself in a short story. **

● This is Drippy Pendrix and LaLo(pronounced Lay-Low) and together we are Letters

From Mom, We are a Multi Genre Musical Duo and Performing act From Baltimore,

Maryland. Naturally made from Love, brought to bring you all the feels you can imagine, stemming from a source of positivity.

● What’s your stage name and how did you come up with it?

- Letters From Mom, literally one day me and my brother were coming from a gym workout, we had already been looking for a name that would fit all genres of music but spoke to who we are as a people. That day randomly I said let’s be Letters From Mom a message and beacon of light for Mother universe, and boom it stuck just like that now second thoughts or guessing. Here we are!!

● What got you into music?

-Drippy: I’ve always been into musical instruments like the drums and singing as a kid and naturally would dance out of the blue, the actual moment that got me into being a recording artist and writer was when my grandfather snuck and let me watch music videos, Usher just release

“You Make Me Wanna” that day. As soon as I saw it I fell In love with the style and said to myself “I can do that” . I was maybe like 8-9 at the time. That sparked everything as far as my musical journey.

-LaLo: Hard to really pinpoint an exact thing, I’ve always been around it, and felt like if I decide to, it’s definitely something I can do and do it well. I love it!

● What was life like growing up?

-Drippy: it has a bit of everything, I’ll speak on the parts I like most. Having a huge family, a large group of friends and support full of fun and exploration. Not every moment was a sunshine moment but it’s part of my build being able to come from a different angle then most in my community with pretty much a whole family full of married, educated working folk, sleepovers, sports vacations, almost like a movie with all the parts you enjoy most!

-LaLo: Growing up in one of the most historical places in America I’d say life is defined as is. Ups and downs, goods and bads. Overall making the best with what you have in a place where not much positivity is around.

● Who is your inspiration? What keeps you going to get up daily and put effort into your music

career?

-Drippy: I love what I do, I love to sing, Write, and Perform, I love the stage, the crowd and crowd response. It's my passion. I do it for me First, and my family, my little ones, and everyone who finds excitement in anything they do. I like to encourage and inspire and help, and to be able to be rewarded for that in a way I can support my family is bliss!

-LaLo: Family, and the fact people need to hear different music. You can’t be over saturated with just one kind.

● What is your creative process like? What is the meaning behind

your current single?

We work based on the feel it’s completely natural. Normally when we decide on

production our writing takes on a life of its own that always aligns without us even trying. It’s all about the feel, all about the frequency and vibration of our atmosphere!

our Single “Vibes” is a song that is a simple story of a Man courting a Woman that he’s been intrigued by for quite some time, This is the song of his approach and intention based on observation.

“Fur Coat” is a song of a Professional Burlesque Dancer whose night shift work produces a luxury lifestyle.

“Moshh Pitt” is a Party song with a small twist on reality encouraging people to be on the outside of a Mosh pit vs inside. Also think House party movie, How High, and Triple x. A wild night, anything goes except a moshpit!!

● What is the name of the current single/ep/album that you are pushing? Do you prefer people

to buy it or stream? And why?

-We just released our Debut Ep. “Auto Pilot”

It has 8 records on it touching 8 different sides of emotion sporadically it’s definitely a must listen. We encourage everyone to purchase our music as it helps us create more for our listeners, also to stream it and download it. First and foremost Enjoy it and Fall in love with a fresh clean sound.

● With the industry changing so much, would you stay indie or sign to a label? Why and why

not?

We would love to remain independent, the creative control and work load balance is

grand. However for us personally a label wouldn’t be so bad in a partnership type of

deal, since it would help us with our budget and building relationships with resources we don’t have access to as independent artists.

● Do you feel like the music industry has went down since the pandemic? Why or why not? Were you affected by the pandemic with music or everyday life?

- Drippy: I think the pandemic made an impact on the quality of music. Now it’s a lot of crappy

music and similar artists doing one or two styles of music all over with the same repetitive concepts as if the pandemic made folks unable to think outside the box. It’s like a hit can’t be made without the sample of an already hit from years ago, mainly the 90’s. So I say the “industry got lazy” artist developing died now you don’t have to be good to make it in, and that sucks for a large group of quality acts with no “”mhmm following socially”

Far as life the pandemic didn’t affect me at all in any way shape or form!! Only thing I missed was basketball season haha.

-LaLo: I really didn’t pay attention to it, I just stuck to the craft, and conducted other business outside the industry also to be honest.

● If you were give a chance to sit down and have a business dinner with a celebrity who would it

be and why?

-Drippy: Derrick Grace, because I know that would be more than your typical business dinner, it would be a dinner seminar + workshop. Nothing beats gaining knowledge and tools to win at life!!

-LaLo: I’d rather sit down with someone who can help move us forward, if that’s a celebrity cool.

● How do you balance everyday life tied into your music career?

By making time for the things and people I want to make time for. It’s not hard to create a balance for what you care and have love for! Also creating a discipline for things that are out of my control that need to be completed or visited. Just do it !

- LaLo: Do a song a day, makes it all go away!

● Tell me about your most memorable moment in your career?

-Drippy: Performing for a Stadium Crowd, I love the room I have to move on a big stage, I love the crowd noise, and I love the screams, gets me hype!

-LaLo: All of them, this moment now is already one of my most memorable as we speak.

● What style of music do you prefer to make? Would you ever try a different lane?

-Drippy: My Go to is R&B Soul, but I prefer all styles and will always be down to switch lanes in the creative music space.

-LaLo: All styles are preferred

● Do you have a celebrity crush?

-Drippy: Nope

-LaLo: I don’t have crushes on Celebs !!

● Is there anyone who you would collab with right now?

-Drippy: King Midas, Jay Oliver, Mario. We all grew up together and it’s time to reconnect on some legendary hit making. Also Louis Good and Mike Jay. If we connect the world is in store for PURE GOLD!!!

-LaLo: Curren$y
